The Magic Shield For Your Skin

Made by local honey-bees, beeswax forms a thin protective layer that remains on your skin as a barrier – sealing in moisture and protecting skin for up to 8 hours from environmental stresses like pollution, dust, and dry wind.

The magic of beeswax is that this protective layer is breathable! Unlike petroleum-based products which suffocate skin, beeswax enables healthy skin cell function without clogging or smothering pores.

Beeswax has amazing natural anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties – great at healing acne as well as any wounds or bacterial infections that tend to strike in winter.

It’s anti-allergenic too so soothes itching in cases of rash, insect bites, eczema and dry skin.

Carnauba & Candellila Wax

Plants, not petroleum!

Carnauba wax comes from the leaves of the Brazilian ‘Tree of Life’. It’s one of the hardest natural waxes and is therefore extremely durable. Candellila wax comes the from leaves of a small shrub.

Combined with our beeswax, these waxes create a very powerful barrier between your skin and environmental stresses like weather, pollution and free-radicals. This powerful protective barrier allows all the other nutrients and moisturisers in our balm to penetrate deeply into the skin, without drying out.

These plant waxes allow our Magic Balm to last in all conditions, without needing to use any industry-standard fillers like petroleum jelly. Petroleum-based products suffocate your skin, whereas our plant waxes and beeswax allow your wonderful skin to breathe!

Because of these waxes, we have no water molecules in Magic Balm. Because of this, no nasties can grow in the jar, and Magic Balm has a very long shelf-life.

Last but not least, these plant waxes help to make skin soft and smooth. As hypoallergenic ingredients, they are safe to use on inflamed and itchy skin.

Mango butter

The Forgotten Magic

Rich in oleic and stearic fatty acids, these deeply moisturise the skin. Oleic acid strengthens to integrity of skin cell membranes, and fosters the repair of damaged cells in conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Stearic acid helps remove sweat, dirt and excess sebum from the pores of skin.

High in vitamin C and A, it creates plump skin by boosting collagen, as well as reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. By aiding the elasticity and flexibility of skin, it assists with the healing of scars.

Mango Butter is wonderful for extremely dry skin – flakiness, dry-patches, peeling – as it provides deep and long-lasting moisture. Furthermore, it soothes skin from environmental stresses like insect bites.

Sweet almond oil

Delicate, Nourishing & Cleansing

Almond oil is an extremely mild, hypo-allergenic oil, safe enough to be used on babies and the most sensitive of skin. Deeply moisturising without irritating, it’s safe to use on damaged and worn-out skin.

Rich in proteins, vitamins A D and E, Almond oil is best known for its ability to soothe and nourish skin, leaving it more elastic, soft and supple.

Almond Oil is a great cleanser for skin. Because it is so fine and easily absorbed by skin, it softens and dislodges dirt and environmental debris that become trapped in pores. Because of this, it’s a great natural makeup remover, clears acne and helps reduce dark circles under the eyes.

It’s rich in Zinc for strong and healthy skin, nails and cuticles. And the combination of Zinc, Magnesium and Calcium make for thick, healthy and shiny hair.

For Beautiful & Angelic Skin

Like the other plant butters we use, Shea Butter is rich in a variety of fatty acids like Omega-9,  oleic, stearic, palmitic and linoleic acids. Each of these fatty acids has their own unique benefit for skin cell health. For example, palmitic acid is a great emollient for softening and soothing skin. Linoleic acid prevents hair loss and assists wound healing.

To put it simply, fatty acids are the building blocks of healthy cell membranes. For skin cells, this means producing and maintaining the skin’s natural oil barrier. This is the skin’s natural process to keep skin hydrated, plump, soft and healthy.

Shea Butter is also high in vitamin A, one of the best anti-oxidants for your skin. Vitamin A is essential for healthy skin production, and is therefore known to restores the skins natural elasticity, reducing stretch marks and wrinkles. It also assists with the healing of wounds, and the repair of allergies and insect bites.

The Golden Magic

Seabuckthorn Oil is an extremely powerful antioxidant, containing vitamins A B C D E & K, as well as omegas 3 5 6 7 and 9.

Omegas serve as the essential building blocks of skin’s surface layers, creating a smoother, more even, younger-looking, and healthier complexion. Omega 7 in particular but helps reduce inflammation such as acne.

Vitamin C and E are wonderful anti-oxidants for skin. Anti-oxidants are nutrients (vitamins and minerals) and enzymes that prevent and repair damage to the healthy function of the molecules in your body. In our case, they protect healthy skin cells!

Damage to skin cells occur when free-radicals in the environment – such as solar radiation, air pollution, unhealthy diet – strip skin molecules of electron, causing oxidation. Have you seen an apple turn brown in air? That’s oxidation, and it’s the process that damages and ages skin.
Anti-oxidants prevent this process, blocking free-radicals by donating the electron themselves. That’s why it’s crucial to keep using your Magic Balm, creating a barrier between your healthy skin cells and the environment.

Vitamin E helps to protect your skin from sun and UV damage. Vitamin C produces collagen to keeps skin elastic and youthful. Vitamin K aids the skin’s healing process, assisting with wounds, scars, and stretch marks.

As an anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant, Sea Buckthorn Oil is a very powerful healing oil, reducing inflammation in conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.  It has been used in traditional medicines around the world for thousands of years, getting the nickname “liquid gold” and “God sent medicine”.

Cleansing, moisturising & anti-bacterial

Coconut oil is a thorough, yet gentle cleanser. It’s an amazing make-up remover, deeply cleansing pores and allowing skin to breathe. It also penetrates hair better than other oils for long-lasting moisture.

High in saturated fats, these retain the moisture content of ski and reduce moisture loss. As a mild oil, it’s very gentle on irritated or inflamed skin.

Coconut oil is naturally anti-bacterial. This is due to lauric acid, which constitutes about 80% of coconut oil, and is a powerful anti-bacterial agent. The only other natural substance high in lauric acid is breast milk!

These anti-bacterial properties have many wonderful benefits for skin by protecting vulnerable skin from pathogens and infections. Most importantly, it reduces the risk of bacterial infections in acne, preventing the formation of white-heads whilst the oil cleanses pores of excess sebum.

Coconut oil is also anti-fungal, preventing the occurrence of fungal skin-infections, and limiting their spread.

Rich in Vitamins & Anti-oxidants

Cocoa Butter is a nutrient-rich, anti-inflammatory moisturiser that relieves skin from the swelling, irritation and redness that is characteristic of chronic skin conditions like dermatisis, psoriasis and eczema.

This natural fat from the Cacao bean contains Omegas 3, 6, and 9, palmitic and linoleic acid, as well as vitamin E and K. Linoleic acid facilitates wound healing, is anti-inflammatory for acne, as well as soothes and heals conditions like eczema and dermatitis. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that repairs scarred or blemished skin, cleanses pores and balances oil production to prevent moisture loss from skin and hair. Vitamin K fights the appearance of wrinkles, prevents acne and scarring, promotes hair regeneration and regrowth.

All these components work together to soothe dry and sensitive skin, while reducing the appearance of scars and unwanted marks. Its richness in vitamins and anti-oxidants makes it an extremely nutritious moisturiser, relieving the itching and discomfort associated with conditions like eczema and dermatitis.
By deeply penetrating the skin with intense hydration, Cocoa butter facilitates the repair of damaged skin, and the growth of newer, healthier skin cells that feel younger, softer and smoother.
